Iridescent Fish by Jane – Skateboard Wall Art

An iridescent fish depicted in shifting, colour-changing tones -- the kind of surface that moves differently depending on the angle of the light. Fish have been subjects of art since antiquity: in ancient Egyptian tomb paintings, Roman mosaics, Chinese ink painting, and Japanese woodblock prints. The iridescent treatment shifts the subject into something more contemporary and psychedelic -- the scales rendered as a surface that the eye cannot quite pin down. Printed in gallery-quality UV ink on Grade-A Canadian maple.
